Neuromuscular Therapy uses the following techniques in an effort to bring about a change in the pain mechanisms of soft tissue, with and increase in flexibility and range of motion, lengthening of muscles, muscular reeducation, and change in adaptive poster with a reduction in pain.

Deep Tissue involves the deepest muscular penetration. It is usually painful. Its goal is to free up soft tissue by breaking apart adhesions and lesions.

Trigger Points are hyperactive tender points that can refer pain to an other area of the body. Dr. Janet Travell and David Simon wrote the books on myofascial pain and these points. Their manual pressure and stretch style is practiced.

Muscle Energy is resistance and movement work designed to help muscle groups increase their range of motion, free adhesions, re-educate and improve how they work together in groups. It involves using various types of isotonic, isometric, isokenetic movement, contractions and stretching with PNF, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation patterning and stretching. It is usually not painful. Mounque and the client work and communicate together as a team.

Positional Release Also known as counterstrain was developed by Dr. Lawrence Jones. It passively and painlessly works to reset over worked muscle spindles that have developed chronic adaptive tensioning in the soft tissue system.
